August (auggie) is an average shool kid just like every one else except for one thing. August has cranio facial problems . This means that half of his face may droop down and he finds it hard to fit in because of his looks. For part of his life he has been very self orientated and has spent his time at home being home schooled. He is later inrolled into beecher prep and finds out who are his friends and who are his enimies.
I had higher expectations for this book but i really liked it because it was so realistic. I also enjoyed reading this book in the perspective of the other characters because it gave me an idea of their thoughts and feelings. (7/10)
Books are a great way to develop empathy for other people and their lives. Well done.
