The last battle
C.S Lewis
fantasy

The last battle is about a old monkey named shift and a donkey named puzzle one day they were down by the river when they saw a lion skin and shift made it into a lion jacket for puzzle and then shift use puzzle in his lion jacket and tricked all the talking beasts in the woods that this was aslan and then he said that he was the speaker for aslan and he said that all the people had to bring him nuts and bananas.
Three weeks later Tirian the king of Narnia is sitting outside of his hunting lodge to escape the hustle of Cair Paravel. His trusted friend, Jewel the unicorn, sits with him as they discuss rumors that Aslan has come to Narnia. They are full of joy at hearing the news, though it is hard to believe that He has finally come. A centaur,Roonwit, approaches and bows to the king. Tirian asks if there is more news of Aslan. Roonwit declares that what he sees in the skies (for centaurs are gifted stargazers) is more terrible than he has ever seen. The coming of Aslan is a lie. This news outrages Tirian.
Tirian immediately sets off with Jewel towards the woods. He discharges Roonwit to gather soldiers and for him to hasten towards battle. As they travel along the river, they sight a rat, riding a raft on the river. He confirms that the logs are being taken to the Calormenes and that "Aslan Himself" ordered the felling of the trees. When Tirian arrives at the scene, he comes into the presence of two Calormenes who are driving a Narnian horse which is dragging a log. When the log became jammed in the mud, the Calormenes began smaking the horse, which spoke in its own defense. Outraged at the abuse of a Narnian talking horse, Tirian draws his sword and kills one of the Calormenes while Jewel the unicorn runs to the other with his horn.
Other Calormenes shortly discovered the slayings of their countrymen and pursue Tirian into the forest. Tirian runs a short distance but stops, feeling guilty of some treachery for killing the two soldiers. He returns to the Calormene camp and gives himself up. He requests an audience with Aslan but was taken before the ape. The ape, Shift, is completely adorned with all sorts of riches and clothing that server to give him a fairly ridiculous air. He commands the squirrels to deliver more nuts (Aslan wants them) and they must do it immediately. The squirrels ask to see Aslan and have Him tell them but the ape rejects them. Aslan may come out this evening, he tells them
Aslan wakes Father Time, who rises into the sky like a giant among giants. Father Time raises a great horn to his mouth and sounds the call. The sky immediately fills with shooting stars and a great starless patch forms as the stars fall to the ground around them. The stars in Narnia are people and they land, falling behind Aslan and the humans. Their light shines into the darkness, enabling the onlookers to see all of what was happening. As the children watch, all the vegetations are eaten by the lizards, dragons, and salamanders Then all the people and animals gather outside the door, either to join Aslan or not join him . The ones who do not join fade into Aslan's shadow, never to be seen again, to fate unknown even to C.S. Lewis Then the great dragons, salamanders and giant lizards grow old, die and rot into skeleton structures. Then the whole world  is consumed by a great flood from the Utter East, to the Utter West. Then the mountains in every location, crumble and fall into the new body of water. The water then reaches and hits the stable door, but does not pass. The sun rises, and it has become a dying red giant like the sun in the World of Charn. The moon rises and is consumed by the sun. Aslan orders Father Time to crush the sun like an orange, and almost immediately, the great body of water starts to become solid ice. Peter closes the freezing door and locks it, thus bringing an end to the World of Narnia.
However, Aslan leads them away from their dead world and into his own country. As Aslan leads the humans into the Garden within the Western Wild of the true Narnia, he explains to them the jolt they felt upon entering Narnia. He tells them that there was a railway accident and that they died in the accident. Susan Pevensie, however, did not die because she did not go on the train with the others. Her final fate remains a mystery.
I rate this book 7/10

Catching Fire- Paige F (redo)

Catching Fire

Name: Catching fire
Author: Suzanne Collins
Genre(s): Fantasy, Mystery, Science fiction.

When you win the Hunger games, that's supposed to be it, no more hunger games for you. But, since its the 75th annual hunger games,- or what they call the 'quarter quarrel', the Capitol has decided to mix it up a bit, make it just that little bit more exciting for the people of Panem, and make 2 champions who have won the hunger games before, one girl, one boy, from each district compete- again- in the hunger games.

Catching fire is an amazing second book in the trilogy- the hunger games, and I really enjoyed it, I give it a 10/10 and definitely recommend it to anyone who liked the first book, or thinks that they would be interesting, and would like to give it a go.

Zombie Blondes ~ Greta

Title: Zombie Blondes
Author: Brian James
Genre: Free choice
Book: 6/20

Zombie Blondes is based on a girl called Hannah. She and her father move towns constantly as they can't afford their rent and are in so much debt that they try and run away from their problems. However, it always finds them wherever they go.

Hannah has started new schools so many times she's lost count. She's guessing this town will be the same. Boring and dull. Her dad won't be able to get a decent job. They'll move within 3 weeks. Like usual. As she walks into Maplecrest High though, everyone stares. Not just the typical new girl stares though, something different. At lunchtime a stunning girl struts in. Everyone immediately stops conversation and makes a pathway for her. She's beautiful and so obviously popular. Electric blue eyes, bleached white blonde hair, deathly pale, skinny and fragile. She takes a seat. Not a stride behind her, identically gorgeous girls walk in. All blue eyed, bleached hair and snow white skin. Hannah thought that was odd as no one can look like that. They were clones of each other. Little did Hannah know that was only the start of weird things happening in Maplecrest. Jocks, Lukas, the letter 'M', cheer leading and stories and rumours from Lukas keep Hannah wondering about the 'perfect girls'. Will she fit in and become one of them? Or will she discover the sick past and present?

I loved this book! I read it in one day and wished it never had to end. I rate it a 10/10.

Animal Farm ~ Greta

Title: Animal Farm
Author: George Orwell
Genre: Classic Literature
Book: 5/20

Animal Farm is a powerful story. It starts off with Mr Jones running the farm, just like normal. Human employees, the human way of life. It's not just your average farm story though. From the animals perspective Mr Jones was using them as slaves. The animals can speak and so amongst themselves they decided on this statement, "Man is the only creature that consumes without producing." ~ George Orwell ~ The animals felt they were being treated harshly, their bellies always empty and the work load was great. They had had enough and so they rebelled against Mr Jones's orders. The animals, with all their mighty, chased Mr Jones and all his workers off the farm. Cheering in victory, the animals now realised they had the whole entire farm to themselves. Two pigs, Snowball and Napoleon, rised up the animal ranks to become leader. Commandments were painted on the barn doors and the new farm run by animals begun. More food, freedom, less work was the case at first. But the humans were back, stronger than ever. Napoleon became leader, with Squealer alongside him. Napoleon kicked Snowball off the farm. Over the years the commandments were broken by Napoleon. Killing his fellow companions, lies and rumours spread. A dark secret was uncovered. A very bad pig he was. Very bad indeed.

Even though this was an older book I actually enjoyed it. It was quite daunting how true some of it was though. I liked the storyline and the main idea. I give it a 8/10

Faking Delinquency - Tiana Holloway

Faking Delinquency

Image result for faking delinquency
Author:Ashley Winters
Genre: Realistic Fiction

Falice Winters was the goody-two shoes and her twin sister Arabelle, well people would rather call her the devil child. Their father has had enough of Arabelle's antics and sends her to a camp for delinquents, ironically it's called Camp Sunshine Brooks.

Arabelle and her boyfriend had plans to stay in London so obviously she doesn't want to go to a delinquent camp, so she forms a plan. Falice is going to pretend to be Arabelle, she's going to fake delinquency. Along the way she finds friends, pranks enemies and even finds love.

Faking Delinquency is really funny and the point of view of a teenager is written really well, probably has to do with the fact it was written by a teenager. It wasn't cliché like most love stories even though I personally think friendship and self discovery is a major part of the plot. It has some cusses throughout the book but that's the only really negative thing I can say. I give it a 9/10.

The Amnesiac - Tiana Holloway

The Amnesiac

Image result for the amnesiac wattpad
Author: Maddy ( daniel-gillies on Wattpad )
Genre: Realistic Fiction

Hannah wakes up in a hospital bed not remembering anything. When a certain someone visits the memories come rushing back.

Hannah's first day back at school after being diagnosed with amnesia is the worst. Her mum tells her that this is a second chance to make things right, to correct her wrongs. With that Hannah drops her friends she thinks she doesn't need and keeps the ones she does.

I think The Amnesiac is more about friendship even if there is a love interest it's definitely not as cliché as most stories with love interests in them. It tells you that some people are toxic, and that it doesn't make you a bad person if you no longer want to be friends with them. I give it a 10/10
