                                   Looking for Alaska

Genre: Realistic Fiction

Miles Halter's life has been one big non - event, up until he meets Alaska Young. After relocating to Birmingham, Alabama, to start at Culver Creek Preparatory School Miles quickly makes friends with Chip Martin, Alaska Young and Takumi Hikohito. On his quest to find a 'great perhaps' he instantly falls for Alaska's reckless, gorgeous, clever and undoubtedly screwed up personality. I could not stop reading, definitely my favourite book by far! If you are willing to read this book beware that the ending will probably make you cry. Overall I give this a 10/10.

Anne Frank, The Diary Of A Young Girl - Tiana Holloway

Anne Frank

The Diary Of A Young Girl
Genre: Auto biography

Anne Frank and her family went into hiding in July, 1942. Anne was thirteen when her family moved into the Secret Annexe.Over the next two years of living secretly at the back of an Amsterdam warehouse Anne wrote down her thoughts in a journal she got for her birthday.

Anne had very different views of the world than some of the people around her. She knows she's different from the family but instead of accepting her, her mother clearly shows her favouritism to her oldest daughter Margot. Anne clearly describes herself as a chatter box and that she's more like her father than her mother.

I didn't really enjoy this book but it is still really good I just don't like these types of books/writing that much. I would give it a 6/10.

The 5th Wave by Rick Yancey
Genre - Science Fiction

The 5th wave is a story about a time in the future when the earth is invaded by aliens.  This invasion, however, is unlike any that we have imagined before.  The human race is systematically devastated in waves of tragedies.  Each one worst than the last.

The book follows two main characters.  One of them is Cassie.  A teenager who wonders if she is the last human alive on earth. The start of the book relives the waves through her eyes.

I could not put this book down!  I enjoy dystopian (end of world) literature so this had me hooked from the beginning. It had plenty of twists and turns that kept me wanting to read more.  If you like Hunger Games and Maze Runner then I think you will enjoy this as well.  I give it a 9/10
