This book starts off with a wounded man from a group called 'The Armouron' being attacked by his mysterious robot. The book then properly starts 20 years later with a guy moping the floor in a bathroom for a stadium in this huge academy ground where most people get born. The guy starts watching these two people called Gladiators battle things out until either one of them win. Time carries on as the guy who was called Rake carries on mopping the floor and practices stick fighting with his best friend Hoax. But then he talks to this engineer called Oddball who says he has a suspicion on this blacksmith called Salt. Sounds Mysterious. But Fun!
