The comic Blankets is an auto biographical graphic novel, which tells the story of the authors experience from childhood through to young adulthood. The main character Craig was raised in an Evangelical christian family but growing out of childhood into a young adult he questions his Christianity. Struggling with his belief that the Christianity he was surrounded in his whole life is not what he believes it should be.He attends a Baptist christian winter camp where he meets his first love, Raina. Craig troubles over his childhood memories with distant younger brother Phil, his sexuality,spirituality and further relationships.He then leaves his home which he grew up in and overcomes further challenges his life brings, returning home several years later, A different person.
