'Be counted!' By Amy Phelps is diary of 13yr old Amy's life. When her mother can't afford for her to go to collage, she goes and lives with her aunt and uncle in Dunedin. While in hills creak, there was never any money coming in as when her father DID go to work, he spent all his income on alcohol. But, in Dunedin with her aunt, Amy's life has completely changed. Back in hills creak, Amy's life was filled with chores, school and poverty. But life with her aunt and uncle is luxurious. They are so rich, they have a maid, AND money for food, AND new clothes for Amy.
Overall, the book is a story of her life and all the challenges she underwent with that change in her life.
I rate this book a 5/10 because it wasn't really what I enjoy reading.
