Cattra's Legacy - Tiana Holloway

Cattra's Legacy

Author: Anna Mackenzie
Genre: New Zealand Literature

Risha goes on a journey with a group of traders. She's seeking a scholar that knew Pelon, instead she finds friends, enemies and gets answers to questions she never even thought about.

Cattra's Legacy follows Risha on her journey to find a scholar that her father Pelon knew. On the way she learns about her mother and her true destiny. People she thought she could trust betray her but she also makes more friends then she could imagine, it was different because she was used to being the outcast in Torfell.

On her journey she gets more than she asks for. She learns how important she really is and that she is an heir to two lands. Risha finds out the truth of her heritage

I didn't really enjoy this book but that's just my opinion. I got really confused in some parts and it seemed the author kind of rushed to introduce new characters but they did turn out to be pretty important later on. I would recommend this book to people that like to read stories set in made up places in early times and unexpected plot twists.
I give it a 7/10

  1. That is a very fair evaluation. I thought the author could have used familiar names for the characters, instead of made up ones, to help keep track of them all.
